Diamond grinding wheel construction

Diamond grinding wheel consists of working layer, substrate, transition layer

1. Working layer: diamond layer, composed of abrasives, binders and fillers, it is the working part of the grinding wheel

2. transition layer: also called the non-diamond layer, is composed of binder, metal powder and filler and is a part that firmly connects the diamond layer to the substrate.

3. Substrate: It is used to hold the working layer, and it is firmly clamped on the spindle of the grinding machine by the flange in use. General metal binder products use steel and alloy steel powder as matrix.
